I received my PhD in epidemiology from the University of Miami in 2019. Before my PhD, I served as an emergency medical technician, responding to 911 calls in Albuquerque, NM, and with the New Mexico Department of Health. I completed a post-doctoral fellowship with CHEK-D in 2021. My fellowship at CHEK-D focused on understanding the social determinants of chronic disease, with an emphasis on the relationship between the social determinants of food access and chronic kidney disease. I currently work at the New Mexico Department of Health in the Health Systems Epidemiology Program.
